About / Praevius

THE WILD lives in all of us

Praevius is Latin for the one who goes before. Forerunner, pathfinder, the one out ahead marking the way for those who follow.Lead the Wild is built on the belief that something in all of us drives us toward the wild: to explore, to learn, to develop skills worth passing down. We exist to share what we know, what we've experienced, and what we've gotten wrong, so we can learn and grow together.

A community enabling others

The starting line is buried.

Social media normalizes the extremes. The Ironman finishers, the every-season public-land bull taggers, the black marlin guys. Most of us won't get there. Even the walk to the middle is hard, and that starting line is buried under overwhelming information, discouragement, and noise.

And sometimes the community itself is the wall. The people already inside don't always make room for the ones trying to get in. That feeling of being an outsider looking at something you want but can't seem to break into. That's real, and it stops people before they ever start.

If you have a drive inside of you, we want to light the path. Our vision is to build a community of enablers: people who equip you with the knowledge, the community, and the partners to establish your journey.

Lead the Wild is for the man who doesn't know where to start, and for the one who does and wants to pass it on. All it takes is showing up.

What we are building

Training first. Partners as co-creators.

The backbone of a community built to share experiences and connect you to the places and people that can give you the training you need.

Our partners are not listings. They are co-creators. Outfitters, ranges, guides, instructors. People who have built real expertise and want to pass it on.

The training comes first, and every connection we make is built in service of that.
